This is our fairytale.

We are a traditional family with very modern views. GURIAI is a short cut of our surname witch we proudly use. So, under our name and with hospitality of the oldest market of Vilnius - Hall's Market (lit. Halės turgus) - we invite you to know a little bit more about Lithuania's progressive food and design.

I Gabrielė, as I should say in lithuanian, for two years worked in The Lithuania's Design Forum association. I was studying history of culture, journalism and arts. Non of these got graduated... But mean while I was studying, for eight years I worked in various event organizing places, such as Live Nation Lithuania, Paviljonas (Pylimo g. 21B), public institutions. Also, I wrote a bit for magazine Žmonės (eng. People) and magazine CENTRAS / Interjeras.lt (eng. center, interior).

For ten past years Pijus worked as a cook in different kitchens. And in the last summer he finally decided what he wants to cook for all of you People. So, he is cooking some traditional meals in a very untraditional way. Produced for 24 hours, sous vide beef tongue... Onions caramelised in a blueberries' vinegar... Collagen rich healing broth, that was cooked for 20 hours... Some delicious pates...

We are not the only one. Lots and lots more of Lithuania's chefs, our neighbours, whose we call all of the people living in Lithuania, cooks more different kind of food....
